Tips For Using Castbox's Community Tab

Hi Castboxers, here are some tips for you to use the in-app Community tab:

1. Hashtags

Make sure to use hashtags when you write a comment or make a new post. This makes it easier to find similar types of content, and also to search for your specific content.
You can also tap the blue Hashtags. This will take you to all the comments and posts that contain that Hashtag.
You can also follow Hashtags. When you find a Hashtag that interests you, make sure you follow it! They will be saved under the “Followed” section in the Community tab.
When you are in the “Followed” section, only comments and posts for those Hashtags will be shown, giving more targeted and relevant content to you.
Also, if you follow lots of Hashtags, you can favorite the ones that you like the most (they will be starred).

2. Post / Comment Rankings

Our internal ranking algorithm for posts and comments is a mixture of replies, likes, and date of the post / most recent replies. Posts that show up under “Hot” are likely recent posts that have a lot of discussion among users. Try thinking of interesting topics of discussion to improve the visibility of your post / comment.

3. Replying 

You can reply to either a post or a comment underneath that post. Currently, only the direct person that you reply to will be notified in-app. So make sure if you are writing a reply that you reply to the correct person.

4. Political Topics

People tend to get heated when discussing politics. We understand. However, this does not give you the right to attack or threaten others when they have different opinions.
If you cannot control yourself, please refrain from posting or commenting on political topics. It hurts the community, and doesn’t resolve anything. Your comments may be deleted for inappropriate language.
We value mature and healthy discussions. People’s viewpoints can be discussed and refuted, but don’t attack anyone personally.
